Situated in the Kilmelford District of Argyll, Scotland, Lagalochan is a Silurian aged diatreme breccia complex consisting of multiple intrusive phases. The main porphyry mineralisation is of the High K calc-alkaline type similar to Red Chris in BC Canada and Bingham Canyon in USA
There has been historic exploration in the area from 1971, including > 6365m of diamond drilling by BP Minerals International Ltd
